I’ve been itchin’ to show y’all these photos! We took Bridals for Jennie in November, and I walked away from our time, and I was so thrilled with every single on of them! I’ve known Jennie for a few years now, we knew each of from church and she was attending school in my hometown! Here she is! In all her radiating beauty!

Benjamin the Lumberjack

A few weeks back Benjamin contact me about doing some photos, not for any real specific purpose. He did however tell me he wanted to put some emphasis on the beard that he is currently growing partly for No Shave November and partly for the role he is playing in our Church production coming up in a few weeks. Needless to say we landed on the lumberjack. So with plaid, axe, and pancakes in hand (and a beard on the face on Benjamin) we trekked into the wilderness that is somewhere in Grapevine.

One of the questions I ran into while editing these photos was “How do you edit a photo of a lumberjack?” So I googled it, just like any other American who has a question and no real person to ask. Turns out all the lumberjack photos online are cartoons. So this was very much a “edit how it looks best” bunch. Regardless, I’m so thrilled with how they came out!

In old folklore stories it is stereotypical of lumberjacks to eat flapjacks. Needless to say, Benjamin enjoyed his.

I can’t even begin to tell you all how many Smith families I know! This one however I think was my favorite to date! Six kids, plus mom and dad! Lots of times big numbers can be scary to shoot, but I think this was my favorite shoot to date!

These kids were AMAZING! Each has such a unique personality!

Minneapolis Farmer’s Market

“Studio Time” with the Girls!

Last night I spent several amazing hours with two AMAZING women! We had talked about doing a photoshoot outside, but due to bipolar Texas weather that did not happen. [yay clouds&rain ] So after pizza and a chick flick we decided that we would do that photoshoot anyways!

With regular lamps from within my home, a small fan, and an itty bitty studio light, we made MAGIC!

Colorado Sneak Peak

If I could live anywhere in the world right now, it would be this little town in Colorado where everybody seems to know everybody, and everybody knows when you’re not from around there… Lake City. It is absolutely beautiful and my home-away-from-home! Here’s just a few pics from the trip with more to come!

An Update!

Friends! Fans! Newbs!

I must apologize for my elongated absence from my blog! Life has been busy and full of fun and new surprises!

My sister got married at the beginning of Summer, June 11th to be exact! It was a beautiful day, where I did take pictures, and have plenty that I want to show you all!

I’ve also been taking the last of the courses I need to finish my Associate in Arts, so needless to say its not been much of a summer, but the reward with be great! Especially 6 days from now when I am finished!

Some of the most exciting news! I’ve been accepted into a program with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) that is their PhotogenX DTS (Discipleship Training School) where I will be able to learn how to use my camera and be a minister of the Gospel in the mission field!

The school is 24 weeks, 12 weeks for Training in, drum roll please…….

Kona, Hawaii

and then 12 weeks of outreach, destination unknown!

I’m so thrilled for this opportunity, and appreciate all of your love and prayers as this come quickly upon us! April 8th, 2011 is Orientation in Hawaii! You can keep track of me here (www.jillianhamp.com) or HERE on FACEBOOK!

The Neese Family

I love this family. So much. Its ridiculous. All eight of them.

Zach&Jen

Simeon, Judah, Charis, Maggie, Nora, and baby Sam.

This is a really incredible family, and I got to take some super fun pictures with them!

This shoot originally came about because Sam is now 6 months old, and Nora is almost 2! So we tried to commemorate these amazing milestones!

Normally I am a natural light photographer, but the crazy Texas weather quickly prevented that from happening! Here are our results from that day:
